Candoc SS Series Flexible Lacquer

SPECIFICATIONS:

USES: Coated paper stock: where gloss, flexibility and die-cuttability are desirable. CPI Halftone Base and Toners are recommended for 4-color process work on posters and POS. Works well on foam board materials with clay coated paper liners.
Water Slide Decals: SS is the ink of choice for this resurging medium. Other recommended substrates: banner materials such as Tyvek, leather, wood and metals. Also used for hand-painting inflatables.

FINISH: Cures to a gloss finish.

COVERAGE: Averages about 1,200 sq. ft. per gallon.

OPACITY: Opaque and transparent colors are offered in this specialized series. The user can mix all colors to obtain desired color depth and opacity.

DRYING TIME: SS Lacquers dry through solvent evaporation. Fresh air volume is more of a factor in dry time then temperature. Force Dry: for high volume air dryer (3000-5000CFM, equipped with air knifes) at 100-120°F: 30-60 seconds. Air Dry: 15-45 minutes depending on air circulation and temperature.

SCREEN FABRIC: Use a 160-305 monofilament fabric.

SCREEN COATING, FILM, BLOCKOUT: Direct and indirect photostencils, or water soluble, knife-cut stencils are suitable.

MODIFIERS: Use T-804 Lacquer Thinner or CM-9840 Fast Dry Thinner to achieve desired viscosity. Mixing colors should be used without thinning. Retard with T-22.

FLOW AGENT: Opaque SS Lacquer colors do not normally require a flow additive. Mixing Colors and Clears may require small amounts of CM-9775 Concentrate. Use no more than 2 oz. per Gallon! !Over use of this highly concentrated additive will create bubbling and adversely affect adhesion.

WASHUP: SYS-1925 or biodegradable washes 2500 or 2510 gel.
