A drawing pencil is a black lead pencil. What makes a drawing pencil special, is that it is made in a wide variety of degrees, or hardnesses. These degrees are also carefully controlled to insure accurate steps between degrees, and uniformity from batch to batch. Most manufacturers also use special combinations of clay and graphite not available in their general use pencils.
The Mars Lumograph® is a quality pencil that is known for purity, durability, and delicacy of tone. It gives good adhesion to paper and reduces smudging to a minimum. Available in 16 degrees from 8B to 6H plus F and HB. In handsome blue finish, with tip, 12 per box.
