These professional, permanent, screen printing inks are for many porous and non-porous surfaces. A technology break-through open time on the screen has been greatly extended, giving the user more time to work with individual colors without having them dry in the screens. Jacquard's Screen Printing Inks are archival and lightfast with great resolution. They won't wrinkle paper when screening art prints. Clean up is easy with soap and water. The Screen Inks are washable and dry-cleanable on natural and synthetic fabrics. Fabrics must be heat set for permanence and durability.
USES: Card, paper, wood, leather, and some fabrics. Other substrates have had successful adhesion, test before beginning a production run.
FINISH:Dries to a low gloss finish. Gloss is reduced when printed on absorbent substrates.
COVERAGE: Approximately 1000 sq. ft./gallon using a 230 monofilament fabric, and a sharp squeegee on a non-absorbent surface.
OPACITY: Good opacity except process colors are transparent.
DRYING TIME: Jacquard acrylic inks dry by water evaporation then polymer cross linking. Prints normally air dry within 60 minutes. Overprints require slightly longer drying time. Insure adequate air circulation when rack drying. For production textiles, 205 - 300° F for one to two minutes in a conveyer dryer are recommended.
SCREEN FABRIC:110 - 195 Monofilament polyester is recommended for textile printing. Finer meshes may be used for non-absorbant surfaces.
SCREEN COATING, FILM, BLOCKOUT: Direct and indirect water resistant photostencils, or lacquer knife-cut stencils and blockout are suitable.
MODIFIERS: Under hot and dry conditions, use retarder JCI-CM2000.
ADHESION: Excellent on paper, cardboard and hardboard. Good scuff resistance.
WASHUP: Screen cleans with water or biodegradable solvents 2300.
ALWAYS TEST PRINT BEFORE PRODUCTION!
