Especially made to fit the grooves on your frame lumber, this cord is uniform to prevent fabric slippage Available in two diameters to accommodate your screen making needs. Standard is the most popular cord. Large is for the slightly wider grooves in lumber, older frames, or thinner mesh.
After your frame is assembled, take a small flat edge screw driver and push on the inside corner of the groove. This should round the edge to prevent cutting the fabric. Lay your fabric on top with the edges parallel to the frame. Tap the cord down on the first corner. Pull the fabric away from the tapped in corner and tap the cord there. Hammer in cord flush to wood. Pull the fabric on the second side making sure there is tension on the fabric diagonally. Make sure to leave enough length of cord to make it around the corner. Hammer the cord flush to the wood. Gently pull and tap around the last two sides of the frame. Then use stretching tool to tap the cord deeper into the groove for more tension.
