The heat platens use SuperCoil-Microwinding™ heater technology, a system of embedded heater windings that wind tightly and closely together throughout the entire platen for extremely even heat, fast recovery & fast heat up times.

The DK20 and DK16 clamshell presses also feature an AUTO-RELEASE upgrade. This inexpensive feature makes these presses semi-automatic "Pop-Up" machines. Without an air compressor, the presses open automatically at the end of the timing cycle for added productivity and ease of use.
