textile inks are safe and extremely easy to use, making them an ideal
ink line for textile, school and hobby-craft use. These inks adhere
to most water repellent nylons as well as denim, poplin, twill and
vinyl (with the addition of 2% FIX C). Can also be used on cottons.
blends, etc. Nylo-Opaque is as close to a universal textile ink as

SPECIFICATIONS
USES: For use on nylon and water repellant treaed nylon. NOTE! water
repellant treatments vary greatly and should be tested for adhesion
before a production run.
FINISH: Equal to fabric printed. Prints “breathe” well.
OPACITY: All colors are opaque enough for medium or pastel colors.
When printing on dark colors, the equivalent of 2% or .2% colors
on the Pavonine color chart should be used. Fluorescent colors are
best used on light or medium fabrics.
DRYING TIME: A minumum
of 90 seconds and a minimum of 320 F in a well vented oven are
required to set Nylo-Opaque by heat alone.
May be used with a lessor oven on no oven with the addition of
1% to 2% Fix C. Mix only what can be used in four hours, do not
store
catalyzed inks, do not allow catalyzed inks to dry in the screen.
Higher percentages of Fix C (up to 4%) will inprove adhesion but
cut pot life.
SCREEN FABRIC: Use monofilament polyester 110 range recommended.
SCREEN COATING, FILM, BLOCKOUT: Use water resistant emulsion, preferable
with hardener. Do not under expose!
MODIFIERS: Up to 2% Pavassist Smooth antiwicking agent can be added
to improve brightnes, but testing to make sure adhesion is still
adequate is required. Reduce with a minimum amount of water to prevent
hanging up on the squeegee and flood bar.
SQUEEGEE: Medium in the 60 to 70 range.
WASHUP: Use water to clean screens and tools or biodegradable washups
2500, 2550 or 2510 screen wash gel for badly dried in screens.
ALWAYS TEST PRINT BEFORE PRODUCTION
